On this Summer morn my daughter
and the Sun shines brightly in the sky.
A little jewel, so frail and small
makes me feel like a fool,
for I am a man,
yet I know not how to care for her,
I just love her with all my heart
and nothing will ever hurt her,
that is Daddy's rule.
And in another Slavic town, a
waves, with the slightest frown,
to the soldier who has saved her.
A daddy too, he will protect her,
and struggle for her with all his might,
knowing that he is right.
My little girl can sleep tight,
knowing she is well loved and need not
With all my soul, dear slavic girl, I wish
you well, and a peacefull goodnight.
